The Cellar Joins Hedley & Bennett to Donate Masks to Healthcare Providers

For every mask purchased, one is donated to a healthcare worker

The team at The Cellar in San Clemente knows the difference between service and hospitality. Good service is about ensuring food is hot, and drinks are cold, but hospitality is a bit more intangible. It’s shown in small gestures like remembering your name or offering water to your dog. Today, it’s about delivering food to your door, and selling flour and yeast when you can’t find it anywhere else. It’s also about showing up to work with a smile— even if it is masked. Lately, the dining landscape has never felt more different, but at The Cellar, hospitality has never felt so warm. The team has worked tirelessly to keep patrons well fed, and now they are extending a hand to the healthcare community.

The Cellar has joined forces with Hedley & Bennett, an L.A.-based maker of aprons and chef ware to sell masks. With every mask purchased, one will be donated to a care provider. To date, 100 thousand masks have made their way to those who need it the most. And recently, Hedley and Bennett has partnered with World Central Kitchen to provide masks to kitchen crews on the front line. Head to The Cellar Online Store to purchase and contribute to the cause.

The Cellar was the first restaurant in San Clemente to be recognized as an Ocean Friendly Restaurant. We thank them for their world-class hospitality and commitment to the environment and their community!
